About Me
Motivation: I am passionate about students getting to the right college. It is my belief that selecting the right college, the right location, and the right degree program is critical to a successful college experience!
Experience: I have been working in the field of college admissions for several years. I have extensive experience from my previous work as an admissions reader and counselor at Radford University, VA, and most recently, as a graduate admissions counselor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
My Own Journey: As I began to investigate graduate schools for my own advanced degree, I discovered that in order for me to find an ideal match, I would need to research extensively to learn which colleges & universities would be a good match for my career needs.
As my research accelerated, I realized that the entire college application process had become extremely complex and, to be honest, a bit overwhelming.
As I sifted and sorted through the pile of almost identical applications sitting on my desk, I came to recognize the importance of not simply meeting the minimum admissions requirements; I learned that finding an ideal "fit" between student & college is essential, yet nearly impossible without adequate advise & support. It is clear to me how important it is to find an ideal college or university with a decision based on the student's unique gifts, needs, and desires.
I have found it incredibly rewarding helping students throughout the college selection processes, and, on a personal level, getting to know some of the finest, and brightest young minds we have in our midst.
Mission: To provide students and families with knowledge, guidance, advice, and counsel that will lead to an ideal college placement decision that best suit the student’s goals & desires.
